Putnam County Playhouse is proud to open our 2026 season with the beloved musical The Secret Garden. Based on the classic novel, this inspiring story offers rich roles, unforgettable music, and powerful moments for actors of all ages.
The Secret Garden follows young Mary Lennox as she journeys from loss and loneliness to hope and healing, surrounded by memorable characters whose lives are transformed along the way. It is a beautiful tale of relationships, lost loves, and reconciliation that reminds us of the courage it takes to open our hearts again.

Auditions will be held Sunday, March 29 at 3 p.m. and Monday, March 30 at 7 p.m. at Putnam County Playhouse. Auditioners will be asked to sing 16 bars of a song (accompanist will be provided. Please provide sheet music. A capella auditions are highly discouraged). They will also be asked to read from the script and participate in a dance audition.
